Like every year, this year the Greek annex of Australia Retired (RSL), marked contact the National Day of March 25, 1821, with wreaths at Afstraloelliniko monument and memorial service at the Shrine of Remembrance. These events were present to pay tribute to the heroes of the 1821 Revolution, the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne Ms. Christina Simantirakis, which made a small historical reference to the highlights of the Revolution, President of the Hellenic Annex Australian Retired (RSL) Mr. Steve Kyritsis, and many members of the Annex, many expatriates politicians, representatives and members of community 35 organizations and crowds.
The Committee of the Greek part of the RSL, would like to thank Father Dimitrios, who committed the memorial service, the Consul General of Greece contact in Melbourne Ms. Christina Simantirakis and all attendees.
The celebrations contact of Hellenism in Melbourne for the National Day of March 25, 1821 will conclude Sunday, March 29, the Divine Liturgy will start at 10:45 a.m. at the Church of St. Eustatius, officiated by Bishop Dervis Mr. Ezekiel and the sublime, as every year, the War Memorial parade will begin at 12 noon.
